Dante Moore DONE in 2026 | Drew Mehringer OUT as Oregon OC
Description
ScoopDuckOn3's Max Torres and Justin Hopkins react to the news of Oregon firing offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer and quarterback Dante Moore not returning in 2026.
After dropping their third game of the season, Dan Lanning finally made the call to part ways with Drew Mehringer. He promoted him from within after Will Stein took the Kentucky job, and it was a decision that ultimately came back to bite him. Assistant quarterbacks coach Jay Johnson will take over play-calling duties.
Dante Moore will not play another snap for Oregon in 2026, Dan Lanning announced Monday night. Oregon will move forward with Dylan Raiola and Brock Thomas in the next five games. Maybe Akili Smith Jr. will get a shot. The season is a wash, so there's no better time than now.
Tons to get into as the season unravels and we start to look ahead to 2027.
