Previewing and Predicting Oregon vs. No. 20 Northwestern | Zach Koons Joins
Description
ScoopDuckOn3 Oregon Football and Recruiting Reporter Max Torres sits down with Zach Koons, host of the BLeav in Northwestern Podcast to preview this weekend's game between the Oregon Ducks and the No. 20 Northwestern Wildcats.
This is just the third time teams have met, with the Ducks taking home a 34-14 win over Northwestern on the road in Evanston last year. Now Oregon's season has completely unraveled, they've lost starting quarterback Dante Moore for the year, and Northwestern is one of the best stories in college football, with an explosive offensive led by former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly.
The Ducks' defense will be put to the test against one of the brightest offensive minds in the sport with a rushing attack averaging more than 200 yards per game on the ground. Northwestern is far from elite on defense, but the Ducks have been a complete mess on offense lately and hope to get things heading in the right direction after parting ways with offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer.
What's left for this Oregon team to play for? Pride, development and NFL draft stock are a few things that come to mind.
The Ducks hope to defend Autzen Stadium, where they've been great under Dan Lanning up until this season.
