Oregon Football's Culture is Being Put to the Test
Description
ScoopDuck's Max Torres and Justin Hopkins sit down to give their thoughts on Oregon's Week 9 matchup against the No. 20 Northwestern Wildcats Saturday afternoon in Eugene.
Oregon is looking to avoid losing consecutive games for the first time under Dan Lanning, but Northwestern won't make it easy, as former Ducks head coach and current offensive coordinator Chip Kelly returns to Eugene with one of the best rushing attacks and versatile offenses in college football.
The Ducks' defense will be put to the test and has another tough challenge to meet. Saturday will also be the first game for Oregon with assistant quarterbacks coach Jay Johnson serving as the interim play-caller following Drew Merhinger's firing.
Above all else, the Ducks culture is being put to the test with the team's biggest goals now off the table after dropping their third game of the season and quarterback Dante Moore being ruled out for the remainder of the 2026 season.
This week is just the third time Oregon and Northwestern have met, and the Ducks will take a win any way they can get it.
