State of the Oregon Program: Northwestern on Deck | Spencer McLaughlin Joins
Description
ScoopDuckOn3 Oregon Football and Recruiting Reporter Max Torres sits down with special guest Spencer McLaughlin, host of the LockedOn Ducks Podcast to weigh in on the state of the Oregon Ducks Football program as they prepare to host the No. 20 Northwestern Wildcats.
Oregon is looking to win Saturday no matter what it takes, and Duck fans are hoping the offense starts to turn around, even if just minimally, after the firing of Drew Mehringer. What kind of answers can Jay Johnson come up with amid shaky quarterback play?
The offensive line has improved in the last two games, specifically against the run, and the Ducks will get a trio of their top wide receivers back for this one.
PLUS Oregon's defense faces perhaps its biggest challenge yet against Northwestern's explosive run game and diverse offense behind Chip Kelly. Dan Lanning finds himself in unfamiliar territory with the season basically over before November.
Oregon has won at least 10 games every year since he's been head coach, but now he has to prevent his team from falling apart with the Ducks now fighting just to make a bowl game.
