Most Americans think secession automatically leads to war. Why? Because they have been taught to think that from the time they were little minds of mush. And Lincoln. Case in point, a recent article at NPR where the author equates self determination to "civil war." You see, to this numbskull, if people separate, they will have to start shooting. Ridiculous.
