In the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland, lies Greyfriars Kirkyard, a centuries old cemetery with a history of religious persecution, imprisonment, torture, and death. But it's also become notorious for something far more mysterious, with hundreds of visitors reporting violent encounters with an unseen presence that allegedly leaves behind scratches, bruises, and even strangulation marks.
Known as the Mackenzie Poltergeist, the entity is believed by some to be the restless spirit of a seventeenth century lawyer whose cruelty earned him the nickname Bloody Mackenzie.
