Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
Description
That boy is about to seek revenge over the town that murdered him. This week PJ and Derek are joined by special guest Tim Von Cloedt as they pull back the curtain on the blood-soaked mockumentary on what it takes to become a horror icon in Scott Glosserman’s Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006). In this episode they explore Leslie Vernon’s twisted approach to slasher stardom, from finding your perfect final girl to turning small-town terror into a well-oiled killing machine. We’re breaking down the film’s sharp meta-humor, its love letter to classic slasher movies, and the ways it both celebrates and subverts the genre’s most familiar tropes. 📺
