coming up on today's show

adults smoking during their football games

and check out the second most expensive dinosaur fossil

ever sold

first today we're talking about money

yesterday the government set out

its plan for managing the UK's money

it's called the budget

the person in charge of the budget is called Chancellor

John Healey

and he spoke about what he'll be spending on

where he'll be saving

and how he will try to grow the economy

It's the first budget since Andy Burnham

became the UK Prime Minister

this summer

Newsbeat's Andrew Rogers has got more on this for us

《Newsbeat》

Hi, Newsround

《Newsround》

we've come to the seaside here in Bournemouth

to talk about the government's plans for

how it's going to spend all of our money

now this time every year they put out the budget

this is deciding what they're gonna raise in taxes

from all of us

and then what they're gonna use that money on

things like spending them on schools or hospitals

it's a little bit like us

having a day out at the seaside

and having a certain amount of money

deciding whether or not we want to spend it on

going on the Ferris wheel

or maybe some of the arcades down at the pier

now what have we heard

well the government says it wants to help people

out with the cost of living

that's essentially

the fact that prices are going up for a lot of things

including food and what it costs to heat your homes

now on that they say there's going to be an extra

100 pounds for 20 million households

and that's going to help them out

with paying some of those costs when it comes to

energy bills this winter

we also know that

the minimum amount that companies can pay people

known as the minimum wage

is also gonna go up again

that means that

your parents could be getting paid more for the work

that they do but at the same time

lots of people say that prices

are going to keep going up

and that means it could still be a bit of a tough time

now the government has said what they want to happen

other politicians from different political parties

are having their say

and saying what they would do differently

if they were in charge

thank you Andrew

well in other big money news

a dinosaur skeleton nicknamed Jodi

has sold for a massive

以高达

35 and 1/2 million pounds in New York this week

that makes it the second most expensive dinosaur fossil

ever sold
