EEARSS by Alligator Robb Podcast Season 6 Episode 6: Justin Dunlap and Sustainable Farming
Howdy y’all and welcome to the EEARSS by Alligator Robb Podcast, produced by Terrier TV at Titusville High School.
This week, we welcome Justin Dunlap for a conversation about his journey into farming and the vision behind the sustainable farm he is building on 7.5 acres in Titusville.
With 300 to 400 chickens, sheep, Scottish Highland cattle, and fruit trees, Justin has plenty to talk about. His plans bring together raising livestock, growing food, and creating opportunities for the community to connect with agriculture. We also discuss his work to put together food storage for local food pantries and how helping others fits into his vision for the property.
Justin’s broader plans include an edible plant nursery, farmers markets, and agricultural education. Throughout our conversation, we explore how he got started, the thinking behind his approach, and what he hopes to accomplish as the farm develops.
We also talk about an opportunity to tour the property and see what he is building firsthand before an upcoming Titusville City Council vote concerning the property’s zoning.
Tune in and hear the story from the man himself as Justin shares his journey, his plans, and the purpose behind his work.
