Melani testified that when Chad Daybell's warning about Brandon tracking her car turned out true, it "validated a lot of the things he was saying." A memo attributed to her husband says she feared JJ and Tylee "needed to die." She still had her uncle Alex stand at her wedding, by her own account. Melani has never been charged in the shooting at Brandon and denies any part in it.
