Episode Details

Long before digital workstations and over-polished tracks, Singapore’s live music scene was forged on real grit, world-class musicianship, and raw brass power 🎺✨ In the late 1960s through the golden era of the 1970s and 80s, Flybaits stood tall, defining the pop-rock landscape across Singapore and Malaysia with rich harmonies and unmistakable multi-instrumental brilliance.

In this landmark episode of our Tribute to SG Music Icons series on The Chris Henson Conversation, we are joined in the studio by multi-instrumentalist, trombonist, and bassist #HoraceHutapea.

Horace takes us behind the music, chronicling the band's inception, their relentless club days, topping regional charts with evergreen anthems like Kenangan Lalu and Kasih Berubah, and honoring the brothers who shared the stage—both demised and surviving 🎙️🎷
