Commanders Have to Prove They're a Destination for Elite Players
Description
The Quenton Nelson trade to Seattle raises a bigger question for the Washington Commanders than whether Adam Peters should have matched a third-round pick and future fifth. We separate what's confirmed from what's unknown, including whether Washington was ever a realistic destination for Nelson, and what that possibility would say about Josh Harris, Peters, Dan Quinn and the organization's direction. We also revisit Peters' decision to release Tyler Biadasz before Washington secured a replacement at center.
Then, did Washington make the wrong 2024 choice between Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye? And can David Blough simplify Daniels' pre-snap workload without limiting what makes him special? This mailbag separates bad outcomes from bad decisions.
Host David Harrison covers the Commanders for the Locked On network, The District Standard, and WUSA9.
