Three Killers, Nine Movies, and a Few Complaints

Season 1 Episode 36 Published 12 hours ago
Description

Michael Myers. Jason Voorhees. Freddy Krueger. Three horror icons, nine of my favorite movies, and a few things that drive me absolutely crazy!

In this spooky episode of Mostly Me, Occasionally Wise, we're diving into three of horror's most iconic franchises: Halloween, Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

I'm sharing three of my personal favorite films from each series as we revisit the stories, memorable characters, creepy atmosphere, and unforgettable music that made these movies horror classics.

We'll talk about the original Halloween, Dr. Loomis's chilling warning in Halloween II, and the incredible tension behind "The Shape Hunts Allyson" from Halloween (2018). Then we're heading to Camp Crystal Lake to discuss Tommy Jarvis, The Final Chapter, and Jason Lives. Finally, we're stepping into the dream world with Freddy Krueger, Dream Warriors, and The Dream Master.

But it's not all scares and nostalgia!

I've also got a few complaints. Why does Michael Myers sometimes seem weaker than he should? How does Jason manage to catch people when he's WALKING? And when did Freddy Krueger become more of a comedian than a nightmare?

We'll celebrate what makes these movies great while having a little fun with the things that make us shake our heads.

So grab your favorite Halloween candy, turn down the lights, and join me for a conversation about slashers, soundtracks, and questionable decisions.

Which three movies would YOU choose from each franchise? Are you Team Michael, Team Jason, or Team Freddy? I'd love to hear your picks!
