(10-27-2026) The Buzz 24/7 Podcast: Rob Riggle, Scene Stealers & Movie Quotes
Published 7 hours ago
Description
The crew is joined by fan-favorite comedian, actor, and US Marine veteran Rob Riggle for an entertaining post-show conversation. The hosts praise Riggle as the ultimate scene-stealer in comedy, looking back on iconic moments from modern classics like The Hangover, Step Brothers, and Talladega Nights, as well as his hosting gig on the extreme mini-golf series Holey Moley. Riggle discusses his new film, Christmas at the Kringles, an original mashup combining holiday themes, comedy, and slasher horror with an ensemble cast featuring Ron Livingston, Thomas Lennon, and Rachel Bilson.
Riggle also shares the story behind an incredible 100-foot multi-level golf putt that recently went viral, comparing the odds of sinking it to winning the lottery. The conversation turns to famous movie quotes, with Riggle admitting he never gets tired of fans yelling iconic catchphrases like "In the face!" or "Pow!" across the street. Greg and Rob bond over their shared habit of casually dropping obscure movie lines into everyday conversations to see who picks up on the reference. Riggle also previews several upcoming projects in development, including a Jimmy Stewart World War II biopic and an upcoming comedy titled The Pirate King alongside Paul Walter Hauser.
After the interview, the studio team reflects on celebrity encounters, contrasting Riggle's down-to-earth personality with more disappointing, tightly scripted experiences with other famous actors. Greg recalls a famously awkward live Q&A with The Princess Bride star Cary Elwes, noting how much more fun it is when performers are willing to roll with unscripted conversation. Jimmy Dunn wraps up the episode with a quick teaser for his own upcoming comedy book, and the crew reminds listeners to check out the show across YouTube and Apple Podcasts.
