Lori Vallow's 35-Minute Call to Her Niece Is Still a Mystery
Description
In the hour around the October 2019 shot at Brandon Boudreaux's Tesla, Lori Vallow Daybell's phone was on a 35-minute call to her niece Melani's, according to FBI testimony. Melani was Brandon's wife at the time. She has never been charged and says she had no part in it, but Lori's prosecutor told jurors in 2025 she was one of the four people in the plot. Robin Dreeke and I go through the address Melani asked for two weeks earlier, the park handoff that morning, and the Gilbert detective's email asking if Melani had any financial gain from Brandon's death. At Lori's trial, the prosecutor said the state wasn't alleging money. Gilbert police say the case is active, and Maricopa County's attorney says she'd look at it again if they bring it.
