Introducing the Live YOUR Life Series
Description
Introducing LIVE YOUR Life | A New Series on Being Imperfectly Perfect
What if the whole point of life is simply to live YOUR life?
Not the life your parents imagined for you. Not the life society tells you is successful. Not even the life that the personal development world tells you that you should be striving for.
But a life that is genuinely yours.
In this very personal (and unexpectedly emotional!) episode, I'm introducing LIVE YOUR Life, a new series on the Being Imperfectly Perfect podcast, inspired by my next book.
It all started with a conversation with my dad. I asked him a question I've spent much of my life exploring: Why are we here? What's the point of it all?
His answer was beautifully simple: "I believe I'm here just to live my life."
And it got me thinking. Have we made life far more complicated than it needs to be?
We spend so much time trying to improve ourselves, heal ourselves, achieve more, become more and follow the success formulas of others. But what if we've lost sight of the most important question?
What do YOU actually want?
In this episode, I explore:
- Why copying someone else's version of success might be taking you further away from your own.
- The difference between being grateful for your life and still wanting more.
- Why achieving everything you thought you wanted doesn't necessarily bring happiness.
- The pressure to constantly work on ourselves and whether personal development has gone too far.
- Why living differently from the people around you can leave you questioning your choices.
- The importance of having someone in your corner when life gets tough.
- Why consistency isn't about perfection — it's about continuing to show up.
I also share a moment that caught me completely off guard. While talking about my dad, I found myself crying on the podcast for the very first time.
And rather than editing it out, I've decided to leave it in.
Because if I'm encouraging you to show up as yourself, embrace your imperfections and take the next step even when things feel uncomfortable, I need to be willing to do exactly the same.
LIVE YOUR Life will be a series of honest, thought-provoking conversations with people who are creating lives on their own terms. We'll explore what that really means, the challenges that come with it, and why there isn't one formula for living a fulfilling life.
You don't need to become someone else to live an extraordinary life.
Maybe you just need to give yourself permission to be you.
I'd love you to join me on this journey.
And here's something to think about as you listen:
If you stopped worrying about what everyone else thought you should do, what would YOUR life look like?
