Prince William Told to “Go to Hell” as King Charles Faces Biggest Crisis of His Reign
Published 16 hours ago
Description
King Charles begins a nine-day Caribbean tour amid warnings that demands for slavery reparations and a formal apology could create the biggest diplomatic challenge of his reign.
The King will visit the Bahamas, Guyana, and Antigua and Barbuda before attending the Commonwealth heads of government meeting. Palace officials say Charles will acknowledge the legacy of slavery, but a formal apology is not expected.
The visit also raises questions about whether Prince William will eventually succeed Charles as head of the Commonwealth, a position that is not automatically inherited.
Meanwhile, William is facing a furious backlash over plans to sell the Duchy of Cornwall's Bradninch estate in Devon.
Longstanding tenants say they face losing homes and farms occupied by their families for generations. One angry resident, who praised King Charles, declared: “William can go to hell.”
Elsewhere, Charles has granted Pope Leo the Fourteenth a rare honor linking the Vatican and St George's Chapel at Windsor.
William and Kate have released a previously unseen family photograph featuring George, Charlotte and Louis with mountain rescue volunteers.
Catherine also spoke about missing Prince George while visiting a Norfolk café, while BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent revealed an awkward moment posing for a photograph with William after interviewing him about rugby legend and charity fundraiser Sir Kevin Sinfield.
