I've covered the government's moves on law school money and the ABA across a string of videos. This puts all of it in one place.

After the admissions files, the Justice Department opened a review of law school scholarships at William & Mary. It says it has reached no conclusions. The 509 reports show full rides were already down 23% from 2021 to 2025. And the ABA dropped its diversity rule, then got a 500-page report recommending it lose its power to accredit law schools anyway.

Accreditation decides whether your school's students get federal loans and whether its grads can sit for the bar in most states. It's also the reason every school publishes the 509 numbers you use to compare them. Schools are getting more careful about anything they can't defend on paper, and your LSAT score is the number they can.
