Episode Details

Bobby Burton, Jordan Scruggs and Hank South break down Texas’ commitment from 2027 linebacker R.J. Hudson, a former Clemson pledge from Varina High School in Richmond, Virginia. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound defender recorded 13 sacks as a junior and possesses exceptional verified athleticism, including a 10.94-second 100-meter time and multiple collegiate track offers.

Hudson currently plays primarily off the edge but projects as an off-ball linebacker in Will Muschamp’s defense, where his speed and versatility could become major weapons. The crew explains why his transition may resemble Kosi Okpala’s, how he can contribute immediately on special teams and what his commitment reveals about the different defensive traits Muschamp is prioritizing on the recruiting trail.
