NEXT STEPS: Angels Have a Chance to REINVENT the Franchise Under Stan Kroenke With NEW GM & Manager
Description
The Los Angeles Angels enter a new era as Stan Kroenke takes over, promising sweeping front-office changes and renewed momentum for 2027. Mike and Jon Frisch, the Super Halo Bros., question whether the Angels will prioritize experience or youth in their general manager search, dissecting the pros and cons of proven executives versus rising stars from organizations like the Dodgers and Rays. What hires will truly unlock success for a roster featuring Nolan Schanuel, Zach Neto, and Mike Trout?
The discussion explores the impact of managerial philosophy on player development, accountability, and clubhouse culture. Key topics include the fallout from Kurt Suzuki's departure, the need for a playbook that aligns from the GM to the minor leagues, and how Christian Moore and Denzer Guzmán fit into the club’s future. Will the Angels go all-in or invest in giving their young talent a genuine runway? Insightful, candid, and forward-facing, this episode sets the stage for a pivotal offseason in Anaheim.
