Description
As the holiday season approaches, are you preparing your heart for God—or simply preparing your schedule for everything that needs to get done?
Between family responsibilities, careers, church commitments, holiday traditions, and the expectations we place on ourselves, life can become incredibly full. But even in our busiest seasons, God invites us to remain connected to Him.
In Episode 39 of Unblocking Your Purpose, Certified Life & Success Coach Jada Hartfield closes out the October series, Making Room for What Matters to God, with a powerful conversation about abiding in Christ, establishing faith-centered boundaries, and allowing our relationship with God to influence how we live, love, and serve others.
Through John 15:4–5, we explore what it means to remain rooted in Christ rather than allowing the demands of everyday life to determine our spiritual priorities.
In this episode, you'll discover:
- Why staying connected to Christ matters more than simply filling your schedule with good activities.
- What Jesus teaches us about abiding in Him and producing spiritual fruit.
- How to recognize the fruit of the Spirit in your everyday relationships.
- Why faith-centered boundaries can help you protect what matters most.
- Practical ways to prepare your heart before the holiday season begins.
- How growing in your relationship with God can create opportunities to encourage, serve, and disciple others.
Scripture References (NLT):
- John 15:4–5 — Abiding in Christ and bearing fruit.
- Galatians 5:22–23 — The fruit of the Spirit.
- Matthew 6:33 — Seeking God's kingdom first.
THIS WEEK'S FAITH CHALLENGE: PREPARE YOUR HEART FIRST
Before November begins, take three intentional steps:
- Choose one spiritual rhythm to protect, such as prayer, Scripture reading, or family devotion.
- Identify one boundary that supports your faith, family, and current priorities.
- Choose one meaningful way to pour into someone else through encouragement, generosity, prayer, or service.
Before planning everything you want to accomplish this holiday season, ask yourself: How do I want my life to reflect Christ throughout it?
Remember, your purpose isn't about doing everything. It's about remaining connected to God and faithfully stewarding what He's entrusted to you.
