The Shift Hits The Fan | The Joker in the Rye w/ Tim Warner
Description
I spent almost two hours hosting a livestream nobody could see or hear. Meanwhile, the audience was hanging out in the chat, wondering where the hell I was.
And somehow, that was only the beginning.
Welcome to another episode of The Joker in the Rye.
What started as a technical disaster turned into one of the most entertaining and unpredictable nights we've had.
Brian became our first channel member. Charlie called in with some strong opinions about Comedy, writing, originality, and what it actually means to be funny. Somewhere along the way, those opinions created a little controversy.
Then Micah Brown called with an idea that could change the entire show: What if the audience started writing jokes, calling in, and competing?
Suddenly, we might have ourselves a Comedy competition.
We talked about Stand Up Comedy, resilience, the writing process, taking criticism, and what happens when things don't go according to plan.
The funny thing is, I never even got around to discussing the original theme of the episode. Sometimes the best show is the one you never planned.
