The Pointer Sisters – Jump (For My Love)
It's 1984, the cocaine is flowing, and The Pointer Sisters have one very simple demand: if you want their love, you'd better start fucking jumping.
This week, Chibbs, Bevo, Gav and Mad Dog tackle Jump (For My Love), a song that somehow combines sexual tension, aggressive physical exercise and the threat of being felt up by three incredibly enthusiastic women.
We investigate why Van Halen forced the sisters to change the song's name, how Julio Iglesias nearly ended up with this disco banger, and why Hugh Grant insisted on dancing to it in Love Actually.
There's also a disturbing amount of discussion about what kisses taste like, a deep dive into the Pointer Sisters' chaotic personal lives, and Chibbs being transported back to 1984 to fight all three sisters armed with nothing but a hockey stick.
Will he survive? And can a song this good really make anyone want to die?
