Sandra Birchmore's Second Report Traces Back to Which Phone Call?

Sandra Birchmore's Second Report Traces Back to Which Phone Call?

Published 1 week, 5 days ago
Description

The chief who exposed three Stoughton officers in 2022 is on paid leave, and so is the town manager she's suing. Former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins me to sort out the Donna McNamara fight and what it means for the Sandra Birchmore case.

McNamara's lawsuit says Thomas Calter told her to resign or be fired three months before Matthew Farwell's trial, and that she was punished for working with federal investigators. Calter denies that.

The lawsuit also says Calter called a second Birchmore report a hit piece and pushed her to destroy it. Calter says he never asked her to touch any Birchmore report.

Firefighters and public works unions voted no confidence in Calter. Eric explains whether McNamara can prove retaliation, and why federal investigators might want that report.
