Pack Nation, I have a confession, and I want you to hear it from me before you hear it from Darlene, because she is going to tell it worse. I own a shirt. A Packers shirt. Nineteen ninety-seven, the Super Bowl shirt, the one with the trophy on the front. And I have worn that shirt to every big game for almost thirty years. It has a mustard stain on it from a brat in Lambeau in nineteen ninety-eight. It has a hole under the left arm you could pass a football through. The collar looks like a potato chip.

And every single spring, Darlene tries to throw it out. She puts it in the rag bag. I take it out of the rag bag. She puts it in the Goodwill pile. I take it out of the Goodwill pile. One year she put it in the garbage, and I went out at eleven at night in my robe with a flashlight like a raccoon. The neighbor saw me. We do not talk about it.

So LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHIN. This week I saw a story on the Green Bay news that made me feel, for the first time in my life, like I was not crazy. [warm] There is a seamstress in Green Bay named Janel Karban. Her business is called Sew Savage by Janel. Sew, like a needle. Savage, like the way I eat a brat. And what she does is, she takes old clothes. Thrifted stuff. Stained Packers shirts. Blankets. Shirts that mean something to somebody. And she turns them into brand new gameday gear. Jean jackets. Jeans. One-of-a-kind pieces. Packers, Brewers, Bucks.
