Today, Larry goes one-on-one with Hambletonian Society President and CEO John Campbell ahead of tonight's Breeders Crown finals at Eldorado Scioto Downs. Campbell previews the three-year-old and Open division championships, including the three-year-old colt and gelding trot featuring Hambletonian winner Apex, and discusses the absence of Beau Jangles from the pacing final. John also explains the importance of the Breeders Crown and the role the Hambletonian Society plays in North American harness racing. He reflects on a driving career that produced more than ten thousand victories, including forty-two Breeders Crown titles, six Hambletonians and six North America Cups. John also discusses the horses and drivers who influenced his career, the changes he has witnessed in harness racing, and his decision to retire from driving.

Also today, Ontario Racing Executive Director Gord Thain returns to Ponies 24-7 to discuss the organization's Fairness for Farmers initiative and its efforts to address Section 31 of Canada's Income Tax Act. Gord explains how the longstanding legislation restricts the amount of farming losses certain horse owners and breeders can deduct against other income, with an annual deduction limit of seventeen thousand five hundred dollars. He discusses the impact these restrictions have on Canadian horse racing, including concerns about horses being sold to American buyers and the challenges of attracting new owners and breeders. Gord also outlines the industry's campaign to change the legislation, the organizations supporting the initiative, and efforts to bring the issue before the federal government. He also discusses Ontario Racing's broader role in the industry and how listeners can support the Fairness for Farmers campaign.

Then, Ajax Downs General Manager Emilio Trotta returns to the show following the conclusion of the track's twenty twenty-six Quarter Horse racing season. Emilio looks back on a year that began with a record opening-day wagering handle and continued to produce strong betting numbers throughout the meet. He discusses some of the special events held at Ajax Downs, including a visit from the RCMP Musical Ride, and how these events have helped introduce families and younger audiences to Quarter Horse racing. Emilio also reflects on the track's efforts to attract new owners and fans, the possibility of additional race dates, and plans for more special events next season. He also explains what makes Quarter Horse racing unique, how he became involved with Ajax Downs, and which moments from the twenty twenty-six season stand out most to him.

In our feature “In Case You Missed It,” Larry recaps the biggest racing headlines from the past week across North America. Later, he delivers his Ponies Picks of the Day, sponsored by Rocket Ship Racing, highlighting potential wagering opportunities at Woodbine, Woodbine Mohawk Park, and several other tracks racing today. And in this week's Road Trip, powered by Amplify Logistics and The Cargo Group, Larry heads to Keeneland for the three hundred fifty thousand dollar Grade three Fayette Stakes, a mile-and-an-eighth dirt test for three-year-olds and up.
