Building Sovereign AI: The Truth About Controlling Robots and Drones | Krishna Kumar Sharma
Published 2 days ago
Description
Amid growing global debate about AI sovereignty—who controls the data, the models, and the infrastructure—a former Amazon Head of AI Engineering is building a different kind of AI company. Krishna Kumar Sharma left that role to found Omokai, a Berlin-based startup developing a voice-controlled AI platform that lets operators command robots, drones, and machine swarms through natural language.
His work spans industrial automation and defense applications, built on a proprietary orchestration layer that supports sovereign architectures for highly regulated industries. He also researches multi-AI orchestration and has presented his work at UC Berkeley. Khudania Ajay (KAJ) leads this conversation about what it actually takes to build dual-use AI outside the hype cycle, in a European ecosystem that remains more risk-averse than Silicon Valley.
