In the Holborn and St Pancras by-election on October 8, 2026, triggered by Keir Starmer's resignation as an MP, Labour's Sagal Abdi-Wali won with 12,292 votes (45.2%), ahead of Green leader Zack Polanski on 32.8%. Turnout was 38.76%, in what was Andy Burnham's first electoral test as prime minister.
