On January 2, 1831, Joseph Smith received a commandment through revelation to "go to the Ohio" and receive God's law. This revelation expanded on a prior commandment to move to Ohio, emphasizing the purpose of escaping the enemy and being gathered as a righteous people. The revelation also promised that in Ohio, he would receive God's law and be endowed with power from on high. Join Casey Griffiths as he explores Kirtland, Ohio, an old Hawaiian ghost town, and the island of Laie, Hawaii, in search of the connection between the temples of God and the Gathering of the Latter-day Saints before the Second Coming. This episode covers events from Come Follow Me Doctrine and Covenants 37 and 38.
