ScoopDuckOn3's Max Torres and Justin Hopkins sit down to preview Oregon Football's Week 8 game on the road against the Illinois Fighting Illini.
The Ducks are coming off of two straight weeks of low-scoring contest after narrowly escaping Nebraska at home in a 17-14 win.
Dan Lanning sat Dylan Raiola for three quarters but he was ready for his moment when the Ducks finally called his number and he willed them to a win against his former team. Oregon's offense will be without Dante Moore and wide receiver Evan Stewart once again, as anticipation builds around whether or not Moore will return to the field for the Ducks in 2026.
Oregon's defense has been playing lights out lately and they'll face a true freshman making his first college start in Illinois' Michael Clayton II. Every game means something and just like last week, the Ducks can't afford to take a third loss, as it would mean the end of their college football playoff hopes this season.
