Episode Details

Welcome back to The Last Supper Club! Inspired by Jesus and the way He loved eating with His friends, Swarzy is serving up dinner and discussion - all drenched in the Gospel of John. Whether you're familiar or simply curious, The Last Supper Club is a space for anyone who is hungry to discover more about Jesus. Expect good food and good convos that will leave your belly full and your soul satisfied In this episode, we're in John 16 — Jesus promises to send the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, says He will prove the world wrong about sin, righteousness and judgment, and tells His friends their sorrow will turn into joy. Around a very fruity table (chicken and sweet potato curry, watermelon and lime, raspberry white chocolate ripple sponge, passion fruit and kiwi cheesecake), every guest brought a fruit that says something about them: honest stories of trying to do it all ourselves, why we don't ask for help, what it means that sin is "missing the mark", a brave testimony of grace, and what God has turned from sorrow into joy.
