The Most Wanted Man In Yemen: Hunting The USS Cole Bomber
Description
From 'CIA Declassified', Season 1, Episode 2: Before 9/11, the bombing of the USS Cole in a Yemeni harbor was one of al-Qaeda's deadliest strikes on the US. This top-secret documentary reveals the extraordinary two-year mission by the FBI and CIA to hunt down the plot's mastermind, Abu Ali al-Harati. With the investigation hampered by local authorities and threats of violence, intelligence agencies had to employ cutting-edge technology—including the first recorded use of an armed Predator drone outside a declared war zone—to deliver lethal justice. Discover the full story of the perilous investigation, the chilling parallels to the East Africa Embassy bombings, and the single moment of carelessness that allowed US intelligence to track and eliminate the "Godfather" of al-Qaeda in Yemen.
