Description
In 1957, the sleepy town of Plainfield, Wisconsin, was home to one of the most shocking crime stories in American history. When police began searching for a missing woman, they stumbled upon a house of horrors that would change the true crime landscape forever. This documentary tells the true story of Ed Gein, a quiet and seemingly harmless man who was hiding a gruesome secret inside his rural farmhouse. From grave robbing to murder, his chilling crimes inspired some of the most iconic horror villains in cinema history, from Norman Bates in Psycho to Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs. We examine how a troubled loner became a national nightmare, exploring the psychological factors and real-life events that led to his monstrous deeds.
