I examine Ukraine’s reported strikes on the occupation-run Lukakom telecommunications facility in Luhansk, a data-center-linked target in Donetsk, Russian command posts near both cities, and logistics depots in occupied Crimea. These are not random rear-area attacks: they aim to disrupt the communications, command-and-control, and sustainment networks Russia uses to hold occupied territory.

I also assess the reported Starshield motion-speed restriction, which Ukrainian unmanned-systems data suggests has sharply reduced intermediate-range strikes against Russian logistics since October 14. Russia nevertheless suffered its highest reported seven-day loss average of the war amid heavy fighting around Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and north of Kharkiv. Meanwhile, Moscow claims thousands of square kilometers—including areas around Kupyansk, Lyman, Kostiantynivka, Dnipropetrovsk, and Orikhiv—that it does not control. I explain why those false lines could become an immediate ceasefire violation mechanism.
