-International Events-

France: With the implementation of curfews throughout some districts of Paris, substantial deployments of police forces were noted throughout the city overnight. Before nightfall, riots had already broken out in some areas despite the curfews, but in other areas the situation remained calm due to the overwhelming police presence throughout many cities. Counter-protests have also become more common after the chaos of the weekend, and many random groups of citizens have begun the cleanup and restoration of order in Paris. This afternoon, France announced the deployment of the Army throughout major cities next weekend, with soldiers expected to provide security during the wave of protests expected on Saturday.

Europe: This morning an IT outage was reported with Google Cloud services throughout the continent. Within the U.K. banking services were most heavily affected, though many other random services were affected within the tech sector. The outages did not affect customers' money or personal accounts, but systems were offline for a few hours. The cause of the outage has not been specified, however several companies have stated that it might have been the result of a power loss incident at a data center.

Ukraine: This morning Zelenskyy stated that the Pentagon has blocked/delayed the latest shipment of munitions for Ukraine. Specifically, Zelenskyy claimed that his latest shipment of Patriot interceptor missiles has been delayed due to a hold up within SECWAR Hegseth's office. SECSTATE Marco Rubio acknowledged the delay this afternoon, however he did not state that it was due to policy but rather a supply issue due to the currently high demand for interceptor missiles. This comes a few days after the Starlink scandal, in which Zelenskyy also accused the US government and/or SpaceX of limiting the speed of Starshield (the military version of Starlink), which the US has denied having a role in affecting.

United Kingdom: Overnight the Ministry of Defense announced the deployment of Royal Air Force Typhoon fighters to Saudi Arabia, to conduct missions in an air defense capacity throughout the Kingdom. Per the press release, British forces will not be conducting offensive missions targeting the Houthis in Yemen, but will instead be focused on intercepting missile attacks.

-HomeFront-

North Carolina: Last night the Department of Justice announced a settlement between the federal government and the University of North Carolina regarding their admission standards and academic operations. Per the terms of the settlement, in addition to abiding by all preexisting civil rights laws, all students will be required to take "mandatory antisemitism training". Per the exact terms of the settlement this training program was not described in detail, other than being mandatory for all students, faculty, and staff.

Analyst Comment: Within the Middle East, preparations continue to indicate most regional players are expecting the war to reignite within a few weeks. However, the focus of this expected intensification is up for debate...by now it could just as easily be the Houthis which escalate the war as it could be the United States and Iran. This is most clearly demonstrated within Saudi Arabia. The upcoming Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference has been postponed until next year, due to the threats posed by Houthi missiles and drones. This conference being postponed is a big deal; this summit is colloquially called "Davos in the Desert" due to the hundreds of billions of dollars that are on the line in terms of investments within
