Description
Percy Pike, a young boy from an impoverished farming family, is the protagonist of this children's story by Russell Punter. After a fishing mishap leaves him stranded at sea, he is captured by the greedy Captain Crook and forced to join a pirate crew. Throughout the voyage, the captain punishes his subordinates for their dishonesty by making them walk the plank. Recognizing the danger, Percy uses his wit to create a fake treasure map that lures the captain into a trap on Crab Island. By abandoning the villain and returning the stolen riches to their rightful owners, Percy secures a prosperous future for his family.
