A Reflection for When We Know Our Hearts Are Right
Sometimes doing the right thing is more important than the outcome.
When our hearts are right, our intentions are good, and our actions are consistent with those intentions, there’s a part of our being that is protected under the shadow of God’s wings.
The problems don’t go away. Neither do our fears. But God’s steadfast love (חֶסֶד, ḥesed) remains.
The psalmist declares, ‘In righteousness I shall see your face.’ (Psalm 17:15)
And in that vision, we find our ultimate satisfaction.
