Behind Netflix's Unprotected: The Real Murder of ISABEL FUENTES in Galicia
Published 1 week ago
Description
In April 2015, 65-year-old Isabel Fuentes was found critically injured inside her home in Pazos, Galicia, Spain. Her husband, Aniceto Rodríguez Caneiro, claimed burglars had attacked her, but Guardia Civil investigators suspected the story was staged.
While Isabel recovered in a hospital in Ourense, police raised concerns about her safety. Yet her husband continued visiting her. On May 8, just 37 days after the first attack, Aniceto murdered Isabel in her hospital room. This episode of You Can't Unhear explores the murder of Isabel Fuentes, the investigation, the missed opportunities to protect her, and the real story behind Netflix's upcoming documentary Unprotected: Murder in Galicia.
