Published 1 week ago
Description
In August 2018, 23-year-old Tania Esther Wise was found murdered in a drainage ditch in St. Lucie County, Florida. She was heavily pregnant and preparing to welcome her son, Josiah, while raising her eight-year-old son.
Investigators eventually focused on Jose Antonio Soto-Escalera, a married garbage truck driver who initially denied having a relationship with Tania. DNA testing revealed he was the father of her unborn baby, while blood evidence, surveillance footage, and phone records contradicted his story.
This episode of You Can't Unhear examines the murder of Tania Wise and the recordings that helped solve her case.
