HERE COMES THE JUDGE (CNN)

A federal judge approved the search of Rep. Ilhan Omar's Washington, D.C., home but restricted investigators' access to her congressional records. The Justice Department is investigating allegations involving immigration documents, possible false statements, and potential conspiracy. Judge Matthew Sharbaugh required safeguards for protected legislative materials. Omar denies wrongdoing and has not been charged.

UP IN SMOKE (FOX NEWS)

A historic French town hall built in 1883 was largely destroyed after rioters set it ablaze during nationwide protests over soaring living costs. The roof collapsed, much of the exterior was lost, and approximately 400 people were arrested across France on October 17. French officials blamed violent far-left groups as more than half a million demonstrators took to the streets.

COLD CIRCUMSTANCES (NEW YORK POST)

Two hikers from Utah, ages 19 and 20, survived a 36-hour ordeal on California’s Mount Shasta after getting lost in freezing temperatures near 14 degrees. Unprepared for an overnight stay, they lost phone power and wandered into a steep gulch surrounded by cliffs up to 50 feet high. Search-and-rescue crews located them on October 13, and both escaped without injuries.
