Episode Details

Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents “The Picture Postcard Matter, Part 4,” originally broadcast on CBS on October 4, 1956. Catalog listings commonly identify it as episode 492. Bob Bailey stars as insurance investigator Johnny Dollar in this fourth chapter of a five-part serial written by Robert Ryf and produced and directed by Jack Johnstone.

At a Swiss ski inn, Johnny works with Zurich police inspector Honegger to trace $100,000 in stolen uncut diamonds. With postcards of the inn and a mountain ski shelter serving as key clues, the investigation moves through the snowbound village and surrounding alpine trails, where the other guests may know more than they admit.

Yours Truly Johnny Dollar presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
