Episode Details

Sometimes, we need to remind ourselves that life isn’t meant to be lived in a constant state of alertness. Our bodies need moments of silence, our minds need room to breathe, and our senses deserve a little rest from the endless stream of impressions coming our way.

With Spacemusic 18.10 — Parasympathetic, I’d like to invite you into that space. A place where ambient music and electronic soundscapes become more than something to listen to. Let the sounds absorb you, allow the rhythms to settle, and give yourself permission to slow down. And you’re walking along with me in the Netherlands…Where I am right now, and where the fresh air is doing us good.

Featuring: Outer Bankx, Lorenzo Montanà, I Awake, Ancient Astronaut, Lars Leonhard, Halcyon Hall, Off The Sky, Robert Scott Thompson, David Helpling, Eric Taylor, Anne Chris Bakker, Alpha Wave Movement, Jupiter, Chronotope Project, Off Land.

“ The parasympathetic nervous system plays an important role in rest and recovery. Perhaps this is a good moment to explore what happens when we consciously make room for both! “

I’ll also share a personal update about my hearing loss, following my recent visit to the highly acclaimed Royal Audiology Centre in the Netherlands. It’s another step in this ongoing journey, one that continues to change my relationship with sound, silence, and the music I love.

So find a comfortable place, put on your headphones if you like, and let this new episode take you somewhere quieter.
