You lead everybody yet nobody really knows you

You lead everybody yet nobody really knows you

Published 5 hours ago
Description

You lead everybody — and nobody really knows you. If you're the strong one everyone leans on, here's the loneliness nobody warns leaders about — and the One who knew your name before you ever led a single person.

In this talk I tell you about the last day of my first year teaching high school — the song I wrote for every class, the empty room after the last bell, and what I found sitting on my desk in the corner. Then I'll show you the loneliest leader in the whole Bible, and the quiet voice that came for him when the crowd was gone.

If you're a pastor, a ministry leader, a teacher, a parent, or just the person everybody counts on and nobody really sees — this one is for you.

FULL DESCRIPTION & HIGHLIGHTS

This video is for the leader who feels unseen — here's what I want you to walk away with:

Why being needed and being known are not the same thing

The "porch light" trap every leader falls into

What God actually did for Elijah when he wanted to die

The one voice that loved you before you were any use to anyone

💡 KNOWN BEFORE YOU WERE NEEDED — 4 THINGS EVERY LONELY LEADER NEEDS TO HEAR

1. Being needed feels like being loved — right up until the room empties, and then you find out they're not the same thing.

2. A porch light only shines one way: out. It lights up every face on the path and never gets to see its own. That's what leadership can do to you.

3. When Elijah said "I'm the only one left," God didn't answer with more fire. He answered with a whisper, fed him by hand, and told him 7,000 others were still standing with him. You were never as alone as you felt.

4. At the river, the Father said "I love Him, I'm pleased with Him" before Jesus had preached, healed, or done a single thing. The voice came first. You didn't earn it — that's the whole point.

The fire is for the crowd. The whisper is for you.

- Pastors and ministry leaders carrying weight nobody sees

- Teachers and coaches who pour out all day and go home empty

- Parents who feel invisible even when they're needed most

- Christian leaders walking through burnout or quiet loneliness

- Anyone grieving a "well done" they never got to hear
