Episode Details

Minnesota Twins face a pivotal offseason as Ryan Jeffers is expected to recieve the Qualifying Offer from the team. CJ Baumgartner explains why he's likely to reject the offer, positioning himself as the top free agent catcher in a historically weak MLB free agent class. Could this decision reshape the Twins roster strategy, or did the front office miss a crucial chance to maximize Jeffers’ trade value at the deadline? CJ examines the ripple effects, from the draft pick compensation to Scott Boras negotiation tactics and the future of Minnesota’s catching position.

The conversation spotlights Kody Clemens’ ultimate grand slam: the defining moment of the Twins 2026 campaign and questions whether Minnesota could have recaptured that playoff magic after a late-season collapse. Key topics include the thin pool of free agent talent, how front office changes and a possible salary cap could spark bidding wars for mid-tier players, and what realistic moves the Twins can make with limited options. Has the window for this young core started to close, or can the Twins still build a contender around emerging stars?
