I struggle with patience. Though I’m grateful for my life, family, and career, there are times when I feel bad about not being patient enough to achieve what I’m working toward.
It’s difficult when you’re a Substack writer, podcaster, and content creator who’s doing his damnedest to effect change for the better. Some days, I work 12 to 15 hours for less than minimum wage. It’s difficult to stay positive during those times.
But then I read about hunger, war, and genocide, and I shake that shit off. I realize just how privileged I am to have a roof over my head, food in our fridge, and my wonderful, supportive family.
Plus, my family here on Substack. I couldn’t do this without your kind, generous support.

There are so many people in our world who aren’t sure if they’ll survive the day. They would trade places with you in a second, even when you’re struggling mightily.
