"The stuff that dreams are made of."
— Sam Spade, The Maltese Falcon (1941)

Hey there! This is Mako, your host on Ore-tachi no Monogatari.

This episode's topic: movie merchandise 🎬

Answering a listener request, Mako and Ohma talked through their memories of movie merch.

The catch: Mako rarely got taken to the cinema as a kid. So most of what he has to offer is the view from the outside — friends with the cool stuff he could only stare at, commercials for things he desperately wanted but never got.

Basically: an episode-length exercise in envy and festering resentment.

Because when your parents drag you to see Tora-san, nobody's handing out merchandise at the door. What were they gonna give him, a Tora-san vinyl figure? 🤷
