The share of apartments set aside as affordable varies from one recent Westchester project to the next. In four recent mixed projects in Yonkers, North White Plains and Port Chester, about 1 in 10 apartments is set aside as affordable, 180 of 1,709 by our math (one of the four is a proposed tower). Three other projects are billed as affordable housing throughout. The surprise: for three of the four 10% projects, the income level that decides who qualifies isn't in the announcements. We also give the county's 2026 income limits at 60% and 80% of area median income.
