Season 5 Episode 4 Published 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Description

We welcome Dr. Gaudiani back as our Guest Speaker on the 100th Episode

Dr. Gaudiani (she/her) is an expert eating disorder physician and the Founder and Medical Director of the Gaudiani Clinic. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, she earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard, her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, and completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Yale. Dr. Gaudiani moved to Denver in 2007, choosing Colorado with her husband for its emphasis on the outdoors, the integration of nature into daily life, and its support for family-centered activities. Prior to founding the Gaudiani Clinic in 2016, she served as the medical director of a highly specialized inpatient medical stabilization program for adults with anorexia nervosa.

Dr. Gaudiani has lectured nationally and internationally, has been featured on numerous podcasts, and is widely published in the scientific literature. She is a former member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Eating Disorders and the Academy for Eating Disorders Medical Care Standards Committee. Through her lectures, consulting work, and her book, Sick Enough: A Guide to the Medical Complications of Eating Disorders and Undernutrition (Second Edition, 2025; First Edition, 2018), she strives to improve the quality of medical care for patients with eating disorders around the world.

On a personal note, Dr. Gaudiani is the proud mother of two daughters. She is fluent in Spanish, speaks conversational Italian, loves hiking and spending time outdoors, and is a voracious reader, especially of young adult fantasy fiction (the more dragons, the better!). She lives in Denver with her wonderful husband and youngest daughter and cherishes the time when her oldest daughter is home from college.
