S3:E15 Behind City of Masks | Andrea M. Catinella & Deano Bugatti Mitchison Enter the Mirror Room
Description
What happens when the mask we wear becomes impossible to remove?
In this episode of the Looks Creepy Cool Podcast, host Renee Huff welcomes City of Masks director and producer Andrea M. Catinella and actor Deano Bugatti Mitchison, who plays Viktor, into the Mirror Room.
Inspired by Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera, City of Masks enters a haunted West End theatre where ambition, obsession, identity, love and betrayal collide. The British gothic romantic thriller stars Amanda Jiang as Eve, a gifted composer concealed behind a mask; Charlie Goddard as rising actor Christian; and Deano Bugatti Mitchison as Viktor. The film is directed by Andrea M. Catinella and written by Enrico Tessarin
But in the Mirror Room, we go beyond the finished film.
Andrea and Deano join Renee for a conversation about the psychology of horror, embracing the unknown, the identities we inhabit, the different masks performers wear, and what happens when ambition and fear begin to overlap.
