Episode Details

Minnesota Twins usher in a fresh pitching era with the hiring of Brian Reith as pitching coach. Will the former Tampa Bay Rays Triple-A pitching coach transform a middling pitching staff into contenders? CJ Baumgartner explores what Reith’s track record with limiting walks and base runners could mean for Pablo López, Joe Ryan, and the Twins rotation. Plus, the show breaks down how Derek Shelton and Jeremy Zoll are stamping their identity on the organization and questions whether fundamental changes are ahead.

Bailey Ober’s gutsy Maddux performance against the Miami Marlins earns spotlight as one of the top moments of 2026. Can Ober still anchor the rotation despite diminished velocity? The conversation shifts to the Twins’ bullpen blueprint with Chris Vallimont’s re-signing, revealing what it signals about roster depth and offseason priorities. With player development and critical roster decisions looming, Baumgartner asks: can the Minnesota Twins assemble the arms needed to compete in 2027?
